NYC Pink Promenade Re-swatch & abataba Ring

One of my first posts was a swatch of NYC Pink Paradise Creme.  This is definitely one of my favorite polishes.  It's also one of the cheapest and *gasp* oldest.  I'm hoping that Zoya LC is a color match of this lovely polish so I can recycle this most likely not 3 free polish.  I will provide that comparison swatch when my Zoya Earth Day Promo arrives.

I was wearing this beautiful polish on the same day that a SWEET little treat arrived in the mail.  The treat was this beautiful and delicious chocolate bonbon ring from abataba.  It is part of their SWEET collection which features creative, whimsical jewelry.  Here is a picture of my beautiful ring:

My favorite shot is this last one with some delicious German chocolate...yum!  Here are some of my other favorite abataba pieces.

NYC Classic Coral Creme

I do not know about you, but I'm loving the brights right now.  With this influx of chilly weather, the bright bold polishes are definitely making it seem like spring again!

WARNING: I LOVE coral polishes!  SO if you dislike coral, I apologize for the insane amount of coral polishes I own:-\

*phew* Now that, that's over;)

Today's polish is weird.  I cannot wrap my mind around it.  It's NYC New York Color Classic Coral Creme. #1 This polish is not exactly coral.  It's more of a HOT molten pink that looks coral in some lighting (like in my photos).  #2 This polish is NOT a creme/cream.  #3 It's weird, so I would never say it's "classic."

BASICALLY, it's name is a lie.  See for yourself...
Here is a shot so you can get a better look at the foil in this bright polish.
The Verdict:
This polish is GORGEOUS.  It's best described as a hot pink, jelly-like, foil polish.  Yes it is a jelly and a foil (hence the visible nail line after 3 coats).  This lovely is very on-trend with a lot of the brights we've been seeing this season.  The application was very easy.  I would recommend wearing this polish with a topcoat (I did not and had a bit of tip wear-nothing too significant-after 1 day).

NYC New York Color polishes can be found at most pharmacies.  These lovelies retail for about $0.99 each!  So go get this beauty;)

New York Color Liquid Lip Shine

As mentioned in previous posts, I am an active "Influenster" and receive Vox Boxes from Influenster.  These boxes contain a wealth of products to sample & review.  The latest was the Holiday Vox Box which was set up to prepare you for the holidays with things for getting ready & others to tote around just-in-case.

One of the items in my Holiday Vox Box was New York Color Liquid Lip Shine.  The card we receive in the Vox Box reads:

Straight from the city that never sleeps, New York Color's Liquid Lipshine is uptown style at a down-to-earth price.  With pure pigments that create a 3-D gloss effect and vitamin E that provides shine and moisture, this product is perfect to keep lips looking and feeling fabulous this season.  Comes in 10 shades from neutral nude, to berries, & fuchsias.

My Vox Box contained the creatively named Nude York City 582.  The lipgloss went on smoothly with a flexible doe foot style applicator.  It had a pleasant fragrance which reminded me of frosting.  The gloss lasted for hours & was not overly sticky, shiny, or wet.  The color of the gloss was subtle but noticable & is perfect alone or for layering over a favorite lip color.  The gloss also contained a hint of sparkle, which was barely noticeable but added dimension.

I LOVE this gloss and I will be purchasing more for sure.  I actually thought that I lost it with all of the holiday traveling that we did, thankfully I relocated it and did the appropriate happy dance to accompany the find.  These are so reasonably priced that you can have a variety of colors or maybe you'd rather just one color but multiple containers so you can have one in every purse;)  I would highly recommend that you pick up this gloss before I buy out of their entire stock.

This product retails for around $2.49 at these stores nearest you: Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Family Dollar, Duane Reade, Kmart, HEB, and others.  Visit newyorkcolor.com to check out all shades and fun products from New York Color!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. Influenster provides products for review through their VoxBox program to innovative trend setters in the industry. http://www.influenster.com

Manicure Monday: NYC Pink Promenade Creme

Here is the first picture of a manicure that I have done!  I'm definitely not a pro at this.  This color has been my "go to" summer color for a while now (actually I don't remember when I got this-gasp!).  I usually sport this color on my toes.  Here she is:
This is ONE coat of polish and without a topcoat.

Please excuse the poor picture quality & the messy mani, remember I'm a newbie:)

Review:
Application: easy, smooth the polish is on the thicker side, but it is not goopy, sticky, or lumpy.  It was also fast drying.
Opacity: full coverage in one coat but I usually do 2 just for the sake of longer wear.
Color: bright pink almost reddish coral neon cream, would recommend using a basecoat (just in case)
Finish: glossy finish
Durability/Wear: very durable (I go running a lot and it has yet to show wear due to it) and  long lasting. It can last at least 2 weeks on my toes and look brand new!

If you think of a better system or of better qualities to review let me know!  Thanks!
