The holidays are that time of year when we see family more and want to look our best. Whether your upcoming holiday festivities are casual or formal, I have a few nail art ideas to help you plan that Thanksgiving Manicure!
Today I have a manicure that mixes 3 different textures/finishes to create a fun and festive manicure. I used a combination of metallic, glitter, and matte polishes to create dimension and interest. Once that was done, I added some typography with a sharpie to give a specific nod to the holiday.
This manicure bridges the gap between a casual and formal affair. And your nails will be the envy of all around. To personalize this you could write specifics of what you are thankful for this year.

Tuff Scent Earth Collection
Hello, lovelies! Today I have a collection that I have had for 2 whole years but have neglected to share with you. I have always been too unhappy with my photos of this collection to share them with you. I hope I can do these polishes justice in this post.
This is the Tuff Scent Earth Collection. Tuff Scent is a brand that prides itself on its luxurious scents, celebrity following, and philanthropic efforts. The Earth Collection features four earthy toned polishes ranging from a blackened color to a soft ivory. The packaging includes elegant, slim bottles with pewter-looking rosette caps. Here are the swatches of Guardian Angel, Kiss, Inner Strength, and Hope.
The Verdict:
I love the luxurious scents, they are much more grown up than the scents of other scented nail polishes. I also love the amount of thought that goes into matching the color, scent, name, and quote for each polish. They are special and would make a lovely gift. I like that they donate part of each purchase to cancer research.
This all being said, there is some room for improvement. The beautiful packaging includes a long, skinny brush that can make for a rather difficult application. Some of the formulas were tricky and drying time was rather long.
My favorites of this collection were Guardian Angel and Hope (although I prefer the scents of the other two polishes). I love wearing them and receive compliments on them frequently.
Tuff Scent nail polishes retail for $10.00 each and can be purchased online. To learn more visit their website or follow them on social media (although they have not been very present lately).

"Guide my spirit to greater strength, love, and peace in my quest for happiness."
Guardian Angel is a creamy ivory with subtle peach undertones. It was quite watery and thin so it took 3 coats to reach opacity. Tuff Scent describes the perfume floral scent of this polish as China Lily.
"Symbol of love and kindness."
Kiss is a warm beige-brown that reminds me of coffee with cream. It has a silver shimmer throughout. Although this polish was a little thicker than Guardian Angel, it was still quite thin and took 3 coats to reach opacity. This autumnal color is cinnamon scented. It looks and smells like cinnamon buns!
"Find it, use it, nurture it."
Inner Strength is a creamy, milk chocolate, taupe. It too was thin and took 3 coats to get rid of streaks. This polish was probably the most difficult to apply and still had some thin spots after 3 coats. Inner Strength is almond scented. It reminds me of almond cookies that my grandparents used to serve us.
"Timeless recognition of the soul's guiding principle."
Hope is a dark blackened brown with a blazing prismatic shimmer and scattered prismatic flecks. This polish was the easiest to apply and took 2 coats of the thin polish to reach opacity. Hope has been scented with China Rain which is clean, fresh, and floral. The Verdict:

All That Glitters...Tuff Scent Wisdom
Confession: I am afraid of glitter polishes.
I LOVE glitter polishes in the bottle. I LOVE the potentially amazing things you can do and create with glitter polishes. BUT they're a pain to take off & sometimes they make me feel like a little kid.
This week I am going to share with you my silver, gold, & glittery friends that do not get the credit that they deserve. "All That Glitters.." week has already taught me to love my glitters more. Check it out:
All That Glitters is...
Tuff Scent Wisdom
I picked this beauty for today, as it is my sister's college graduation day so the name was very fitting. Tuff Scent Wisdom is a clear yellow jelly packed with tiny pieces of gold glitter. This is one coat (as it has been with all of the glitters this week). Wisdom builds up for complete coverage in 3 coats AND smells like grapefruit:)The Verdict:
I LOVE this gold glitter. I love that it can be worn both sparse and full coverage. The grapefruit scent is wonderful, it brightens your day no matter what.
Tuff Scent polishes each have their own yummy, unique scent and can be purchased online for $10.00 each with FREE SHIPPING on online purchases.

Monday Manicure
Today PaA challenged us to include a "fierce accent nail" :) Well I wore BEAUTIFUL Zoya Vanessa for Thanksgiving & did not have a chance to do a new mani for a whole 6 1/2 days! *gasp* So I just added a beautiful accent nail to her.
First I must say, Zoya Vanessa is a MUST HAVE. Seriously, it's my new favorite red and it has cranberry, raspberry, plum hues (this picture does NOT do her justice). She shifts from vampy red in the shade to a bright berry red in sunlight. It's basically love in a bottle:) I love her. You need her. AND if you don't already have any Zoyas you should rethink that decision. The mani in this picture was done on Tuesday morning and this was photographed on Monday afternoon! That is 6 1/2-ish days of tip wear right there and it doesn't look too shabby to me. (Btw, I forgot to put a base coat on before I wore it for nearly a week. Could you imagine it with Zoya's Armor Top Coat?!?!?)
The accent nail polish is Tuff Scent Wisdom. It is a gold glitter packed polish in a slightly yellow-ish clear base. AND this is one coat of grapefruit scented goodness. Yes I said ONE coat:) I love how simple yet beautiful this Monday Mani came out. I'm so glad I did it. Red & gold on my nails?!?! I know you're shocked aren't you...ok you're not but I still love you:)
What is your favorite accent nail polish???
