Autunn Nail Art Challenge--Green

In the autumn most things are changing color and taking on more vibrant hues. That being said, green is not very high on my list of autumnal colors. Trying to be inspired, I took out nearly every green polish I owned, put a few away, and used the rest. Here is the result for...
Green
I think it kind of looks like leaves. Due to the leaf-like nature of this manicure, I decided to see how the leaves would look on trees...
Not sure which I prefer. It was fun to experiment and play with my greens:)

Polishes used: Zoya Neely, Vespa, Bevin, Evvie, Chita, Veruschka, Suvi, Hunter, Edyta

Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day to all of my friends in the USA! I hope you enjoy the many freedoms that you have and exercise daily. Today is a day to be grateful, to reflect, and to celebrate the heritage of our country.

To celebrate such a fine occasion, I created ANOTHER patriotic manicure (this is #3 for this year alone!). This one could definitely be considered the "preppy" 4th of July manicure. It incorporates bobby pin polka dots and a scotch tape chevron design to emulate a flag.
Despite the smudging on my index finger and the lack of crisp points on my chevron attempt, this turned out quite well. I love the combination of chevron and polka dots, I cannot wait to try this again in other color combinations:)

Polishes used: Zoya Song, Elisa, and Purity

What did you wear on your nails for this holiday? (Feel free to post photos on my facebook page & I will share them!) In the meantime, check out all of the beautiful patriotic nails at Groupie Glam!

Patriotic Inspiration

First, I want to say Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends and family! Although you may think today should be inspired by all things Canadian (red & white, mounties, maple leaves, syrup, loons, moose, etc.) but all of my "Canada Day" manicures were bad (read: VERY embarrassing). So we're traveling back to my homeland-USA, my current state of residence-PA, and back over 100 years...

This week is the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg (American Civil War). More specifically, 150 years ago today, this memorable battle began. I created a simple manicure to commemorate this event. It can also be translated to a 4th of July manicure which is also this week.

Polishes used: Sally Hansen unlabeled white, Revlon Delicious, piCture pOlish Orbit (polka dots were created with a bobby pin)

Nail Art Using the Zoya Summer Instagram Mini Trio Colors

Recently Zoya had everyone on instagram vote for their favorite colors from the Stunning and Irresistible Collections. The three polishes with the highest number of votes would be put together as a mini trio and given away for FREE with any $10 Zoya purchase. The votes came in and the following three lovelies won...
Tinsley, Rocky, and Hazel received the most votes! If you would like to snag your own mini trio put at least $10 of Zoya merchandise (but no color spoons) in your cart and then put 3SUM in the code box. Details here.

Here is a cute manicure that you could create when you get these three beauties:
And in reality, the possibilities are endless! You could purchase any other colors when you get these making the combinations and designs you could create infinite! If you don't already have these I highly recommend taking this opportunity to get these three for free with your $10 purchase:)

*My polishes are full size in all photos, the trio includes mini polishes*

Thank You...

Today is about remembering, honoring, and supporting those important people who serve our country. Thank you to the brave, hard working, selfless men and women who serve in the military. We honor and remember those who have fallen, pray for those serving abroad, and support those who work right in our own backyard. Also, a special thank you to those family and friends who support their loved ones in the military. Without your love and backing they would not be able to do what they do.
THANK YOU!

I could not help but to show my thanks and appreciation through a patriotic manicure. My past efforts have been less than stellar, but this one might make another appearance for the 4th of July!
 Happy Memorial Day!
Polishes used: Zoya America, Purity, and Liberty

Dots of Fun...

Marta from ChitChatNails is holding a humorous contest.  Participants were asked to create a doticure (manicure with dot nail art) and take a picture.  The twist was that in your picture you had to be holding an unconventional item.

Here is my entry:
I'm holding a frozen whole chicken.  My fingers were so cold after holding this!

To check out more of these lovely manicures, click here.  While you're there, feel free to vote on your favorite doticure & your favorite object being held:)
